For me, designing jewellery is a way of telling a story—of expressing an emotion, or turning a feeling into something beautiful that you can wear.
With every collection, my goal is the same: to create jewellery that is so much more than just a beautiful object. I want each piece to have meaning, a heart, and a story of its own.
I grew up between two worlds. With an English mother and an Italian father, my life has always been a beautiful blend of two cultures.
From England, and particularly Cornwall, I inherited a love for the quiet, stark beauty of the North. Its wild, green landscapes inspire the sense of clean, Nordic minimalism in my work, which is balanced by a love for cozy pubs and a touch of British humour.
From Italy, I inherited a passion for elegant cafes, incredible food, art, and that distinctly Italian sense of style.
My journey with creativity started when I was very young, and jewellery was not my first passion. It began with long hours spent singing in my room and listening to music, which then led to painting, drawing, and creating some very odd and imperfect clothes.
The idea for my first jewellery collection came to me on a winter's day. I was walking in the woods near my parents' house and I came across the Lunaria plant, also known as Moonwort. It looked so beautiful, with its leaves shining in the sunlight, surrounded by crisp snow. That was the moment I decided to design my first collection, Lunaria—a minimalist design that recalls the beauty of that almost alien and surreal plant.
Every piece begins as an idea in my sketchbook. From there, the journey to a physical form takes one of two paths: some designs are meticulously hand-carved by me in wax, while others are transformed from a drawing into a 3D model. Both of these paths lead to the same destination: a beautiful casting in solid 925 Sterling Silver.
The final, crucial steps happen here in Italy. Each piece is carefully finished and polished in a small, traditional goldsmith's lab in Turin, ensuring the highest quality. For those who prefer the classic warmth of gold or the bold statement of modern black, select pieces are then sent to be professionally plated in rich 24kt gold or modern black rhodium.
This duality of my heritage is the heart of my design philosophy. DEW is where Northern minimalism meets Italian elegance—an expression of emotion, telling a story of life's moments and journeys.
